Only a few steps away from Paris and line 1, Vincennes, its park and its castle have marked the History of France.

Royal residence between the 12th and 18th centuries, Charles V had a 50-meter dungeon built there, one of the highest in Europe, which later became a prison famous for having welcomed Fouquet, the Marquis de Sade and Mirabeau...

Make a fascinating leap in the history of the Vincennes Castle by walking along its beautiful enclosure, on its covered way or still near its medieval towers.

Inside, you will be able to discover its backstage, and admire the apartments, the council room and the magnificent Sainte-Chapelle with its sacristy, its attic, its stained glass windows and its treasure room. A true witness of medieval architecture, the Vincennes Castle has many stories to tell...

PLEASE NOTE

Reservation is MANDATORY for a date and time slot on the site of the monument, even for those benefiting from free admission. You will receive a ticket with instructions on how to book a date and time for your tour.

Free of charge for children under 18 years old and for 18-25 years old citizens of the European Union.

Any closures (strikes, public holidays, etc.) and exceptional free admission will not lead to the refund, nor the extension of the duration of tickets.

As part of the Vigipirate program security controls are put in place at the entrance of Parisian museums and monuments. In case of a large attendance, these controls can create a waiting time which cannot be skipped.
