COMBINE YOUR VISIT TO THE EXHIBITION Picasso the foreigner WITH THE AQUARIUM !
Your ticket also gives you access to the Tropical Aquarium.

A key artistic figure of the 20th century, Pablo Picasso was born in Malaga in Spain. He lived in France for the greater part of his career, and all his life remained silent about the impact that being a foreigner had on his career. And yet! He was the object of reports from the Renseignements Généraux, subject to regular requests for the renewal of a residence permit and refused in his application for naturalization; he was to suffer throughout his life from the setbacks caused by his status as an expatriate. It is from this atypical perspective that ‘Picasso the foreigner’ invites visitors to discover the work of this major figure of the art world.

Following a chronological thread, the exhibition compares archival documents, photographs, and the artist's work, and offers a unique visit that includes pieces brought together from The Musée National Picasso in Paris, the Museu Picasso in Barcelona, and the Musée Picasso in Antibes, as well as other prestigious institutions such as the Centre Pompidou-MNAM, MAMVP, the Masurel-LaM collection, and private collections around the world.

A new approach to the Spanish artist that informs our appreciation and understanding of his art and career.
