Plunge into the fantastic and fascinating world of Johann Heinrich Füssli

Showing at the Musée Jacquemart-André, this Parisian exhibition (a first since 1975!) devoted to Henry Fuseli, features some sixty works from public and private collections.

The key themes of the œuvre of the Swiss-born British artist Henry Fuseli are presented: depictions of dreams, nightmares and apparitions, mythological and biblical illustrations … The artist drew his inspiration from literary sources which he weaved into his rich imagination.

The exhibition is divided into themes: Shakespearean theatre, mythological and biblical stories, the female figure, nightmares, apparitions …

 

WHAT IS INCLUDED :
- Priority access to the temporary exhibition Füssli, the realm of dreams and the fantastic
​- Priority access to the permanent collections of the Musée Jacquemart-André.

 

PLEASE NOTE :
A reduced rate is available directly from the Jacquemart-André Museum, on presentation of proof, for: young people aged 7 to 25, students, jobseekers, holders of the Education Pass, seniors over 65.

Access to the musée Jacquemart-André is free, upon presentation of proof, for: all children under 7 years of age, journalists, people with disabilities and their companion, ... (complete list available on the museum's website and directly on site).

The museum is fully accessible to wheelchair users, with an elevator to visit the upstairs rooms.

Due to the reinforcement of the Vigipirate program, luggage, backpacks and suitcases are no longer accepted in the Museum. Pushchairs are not allowed in the Museum.

As part of the Vigipirate program security controls are put in place at the entrance of Parisian museums and monuments. In case of a large attendance, these controls can create a waiting time which cannot be skipped.
