To mark the 20th anniversary of the artist’s death, the Fondation Louis Vuitton pays tribute to Charlotte Perriand, a pioneering designer.

In this first major exhibition, the artist is shown to be an urban planner, designer, scenographer, photographer... A free thinking, visionary, committed to evolution in art, she embodied modernity and created functional furniture celebrating the ‘art of living’ while drawing inspiration from the works of Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret, René Herbst, Fernand Léger, Pablo Picasso, Joan Miro, as well as Alexandre Calder.

Discover unique world of modernity in design in a series of 11 galleries, stroll through the Maison de Thé (Tea House) built for UNESCO in the 1930s, or the ‘barrel refuge’ and admire iconic works such as ‘La Chaise Longue’, ‘Le Fauteuil Grand Confort’ ... in search of the ideal apartment.
