Discover two marvellous sites of the famous Loire Valley: Château de Chenonceau and Château de Chambord.

Board an air-conditioned luxury coach at 7.15am and cruise through typical French landscapes until you reach Château de Chenonceau.

A Renaissance architectural masterpiece, Château de Chenonceau will reveal to you its complex history and countless secrets. Also known as ‘Château des Dames’, it was built and protected by various women over the centuries, including Catherine de’ Medici, Louise Dupin and Margaret Wilson.

Wander the halls of this chateau with the accompaniment of an audioguide and be transported into French history as you visit the guard room, the Chapel, the Green Room (Catherine de’ Medici’s personal study), the bedroom of Diane de Poitiers and the salons of Francis I and Louis XIV. Discover numerous works by great European masters of the 16th to 18th centuries such as Rubens, Primaticcio, Murillo, Ribalta and Van Dyck, on display in the chateau’s galleries.

Then take a break for lunch before heading out for the famous Château de Chambord.

The residence of Francis I and later of Louis XIV, this historic gem was the seat of French power in the Renaissance era and is the largest chateau in the Loire Valley. This mysterious site has birthed a number of myths: despite the clear influence of Italian architecture and Leonardo da Vinci, the identity of the architect remains unknown to this day. You will explore the various rooms, admire the view from the chateau’s terrace, dive into the secrets of its towers and stroll through its sublime formal gardens.
To round off your visit, you will stop for a tasting of typical wines of the Loire Valley.

You will leave the chateau at around 5pm to arrive back in Paris around 8pm.
