From 10 April, the Musée du Quai Branly - Jacques Chirac is offering its visitors the opportunity to immerse themselves in the spirit world of the Far East through performing arts, cinema, and comics.
The world of fantastical Asian creatures has fascinated people for centuries, and is becoming a real trend: the undead, spirits, vampires, yokaïs (supernatural creatures in Japanese folklore), and even Pac-Man are all part of this rapid rise in popularity.
The works displayed in this exhibition all tell of this omnipresent terrifying element of Chinese, Japanese, and Thai cultures.
