Just 30 minutes from Paris is the Palace of Versailles, a UNESCO listed world heritage site for 30 years. To admire this architectural masterpiece, the fastest and most economical way of getting there is to travel by RER interurban train. Get off at the Versailles-Rive Gauche station, the terminus on line C, and you will find yourself only 300 metres from the entrance to the chateau.

To get there, buy the Paris – Versailles travel ticket.

Itinerary recommended during work on RER C line:
To get to the Palace of Versailles, take line L to St-Lazare as far as Versailles Rive-Droite (approx. 10 min walk) or line N from Gare Montparnasse  as far as Versailles-Chantier  (approx. 20 min walk).

The ticket is valid for a journey between Paris and Versailles or Versailles and Paris.
The ticket comes in the form of a magnetic coupon.
If your transport ticket is not working properly or is demagnetized, the RATP agents at the ticket desk in any metro or RER station will replace it at no cost.
